PTC Creo Elements 20.5

PTC Creo Elements 20.5 PTC Creo Elements 20.5 is the PTC direct-modeling CAD system descended from CoCreate. For machines built from purchased parts, legacy imports and fast-moving changes, it edits geometry without a parametric history — pull a face, move a hole, the model simply follows.

Core Functions. Direct modeling pushes and pulls faces and features with live analysis of the surrounding geometry; imported STEP, IGES and native files from other systems arrive as editable solids rather than dead reference. Assemblies hold thousands of parts with lightweight rendering and clear structure trees, and clashes are found in place. Drawings stay associated to the 3D model and update with it, while sheet-metal, rendering and basic FEA workbenches cover neighboring tasks. Design iterations that would mean rebuilding a feature tree in history-based CAD are one interaction here — the strength of the direct approach in machine retrofit and variant work. Data exchange with PTC’s PLM world keeps revisions under control where the company runs Windchill.

New in Version 20.5. Version 20.5 of the 20-generation continues the direct modeling line with smoother import healing, faster large assemblies, and the accumulated fixes of the release.

Supported Systems. Supported systems: Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Recommended: 16 GB RAM, 20 GB free disk space, a certified graphics card.
