Inductive Ignition 8.1.47 Inductive Ignition 8.1.47 is the Inductive Automation SCADA platform built around one idea: unlimited licensing. One server license covers as many clients, tags, devices and projects as the hardware can carry, which changes what a small team can build.
Core Functions. The web-launched designer and clients run from a single server; every connected browser is a full client at no extra cost. Ignition connects to PLCs over OPC UA and Modbus, to SQL databases, and to anything else through its Python-based scripting. Perspective builds responsive web applications for desktop and mobile; Vision serves classic windowed clients. Tag history, alarm pipelines with escalation logic, and the reporting module generate scheduled and on-demand documents from the same database. Sequencia-style MES functions, downtime tracking and OEE dashboards are built from the same primitives. Projects script in Python (Jython), version in a gateway-stored history, and the modular architecture — one gateway, many designers — scales from a single line to a plant with redundant gateways.
New in Version 8.1.47. Version 8.1.47 is a mature release of the 8.1 line: the stable Perspective module set, improved gateway clustering and perspective performance, and the accumulated fixes of the train.
