EPLAN Electric P8 V2.9 EPLAN Electric P8 V2.9 is the EPLAN engineering platform for electrical control design. Schematics, panel layouts, cable and terminal plans and the bill of materials grow out of a single device database, so every wire drawn on a page is simultaneously a record that purchasing, manufacturing and service can work from.
Core Functions. The graphical editor draws IEC-style schematics with intelligent symbols; a device carries its article data, connections and macros through every view it appears in. Automated checks find cross-reference errors, interrupted potential and numbering conflicts before printing. Reports — BOMs, cable and terminal diagrams, connector and wiring lists — are generated from the project data in configurable templates and update themselves with every change. Potentials, plugs and cable definitions structure the project electrically, and revision management documents every change with revision flags. Macro technology turns typical circuits into reusable building blocks, article data management links directly to component catalogs, and the 2D panel layout arranges devices with mounting and drilling data for the shop.
New in 2.9. Version 2.9 accelerates large-project handling, deepens data-driven engineering and integration with the EPLAN cloud services, and refines reporting. The accumulated quality fixes of the release are included.
