RsLogix500 V12.01 RsLogix500 V12.01 is the Rockwell Automation programming software for the SLC 500 and MicroLogix controller families. For the thousands of installed small controllers that still run pumps, conveyors and packaging machines, it remains the tool that opens, edits and documents the running program.
Core Functions. Programming is ladder-only and faithful to the SLC data table model — files for timers, counters, integers and floats that older electricians read fluently. The instruction set covers math, comparison, sequencers and PID loops for closed-loop process control. Offline programming and online monitoring work with the familiar left-to-right raster, and rung comments plus symbol documentation keep thirty-year-old machines serviceable. Data table monitoring, forcing and histogram tools support commissioning and troubleshooting, and the RSWho browser finds controllers on DH-485, DH+ and serial links. Project files print as complete documentation, and the database import/export exchanges tag documentation with other tools.
New in Version 12.01. Version 12.01 is the mature final line of the package: full support for every SLC 5/0x and MicroLogix model, refined compatibility with current Windows, and the accumulated corrections of the release history.
