Machine Expert V2.2.1 Machine Expert V2.2.1 is the Schneider Electric engineering tool for Modicon M221, M241, M251 and M262 controllers and their associated drives and HMI. Built for machine builders, it turns a compact controller, a servo drive and an HMI panel into one integrated machine project instead of three separate ones.
Core Functions. The multi-device editor keeps logic, motion and visualization side by side: PLC code in IEC languages, drive configuration with ready-made motion function blocks, and HMI screens that share the same variable table. Libraries of function blocks and screens capture machine know-how so the next variant starts from a proven base. The integrated simulator runs logic without hardware, and online modification supports commissioning on the shop floor. Network configuration covers EtherNet/IP, Modbus serial and CANopen, and the diagnostic view reads controller, drive and I/O status in one screen. Export and version management keep projects comparable between machines and repeatable across teams.
