Control Expert V15.2 Control Expert V15.2 is the Schneider Electric engineering environment for Modicon M340, M580 and Premium/Atrium controllers. It carries the Unity Pro lineage forward: IEC 61131-3 programming languages, configuration, debugging and documentation all live in one project, from a single machine to a redundant process line.
Core Functions. Five standard languages — ladder diagram, function block, structured text, instruction list and SFC — mix inside one application, and derived function blocks build a reusable library that grows with each project. The animation table and online modification windows let engineers watch and adjust running logic without stopping the line, while operator screens can be embedded directly in the program for local control. Communication and network configuration covers EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and CANopen from the same editor. Diagnostics range from a single variable to full application analysis, and the built-in simulation tests logic against a virtual controller before anything reaches the plant. Multi-station architecture lets several engineers work on the same project with controlled comparison and merging, and backup, protection and version management keep certified applications audit-ready.
New in Version 15.2. Version 15.2 extends support for the current Modicon controller generation, refreshes the configuration editors, and improves project conversion from earlier releases. A set of quality fixes reported by users is included.
Supported Systems. Supported systems: Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Older projects convert on opening; keep the untouched original beside the converted copy. Recommended: 8 GB RAM, 20 GB free disk space.
